When you are trying to comfort either yourself or someone who has experienced the loss of a loved one, often come up short. Many times you know that nothing you can say really expresses how you feel.
There have been many poems, pictures, and words of hope written on the subject of death, loss, comfort and hope and I thought it would be nice to gather some of those together on this thread where we can come to remind ourselves that happiness and the joy of life will return given time
I thought I would start off with this one I found by Colleen Hitchcock.
And if I go, while you're still here
know that I still live on,
vibrating to a different measure
behind a thin veil you cannot see through.
You will not see me,
so you must have faith.
I wait the time when we can soar together again,
both aware of each other.
Until then, live your life to the fullest.
And when you need me
just whisper my name in your heart
and I will be there
