To me, the original Star Trek is still the best. The feel of being in space and on a space ship was so much more real to me… but then again, I was kid when it was still running original episodes.
Star Trek the Next Generation is my second favorite. It still had some of the space and exploration feel to it that I love and had many excellent episodes (and a lot of duds too but oh well).
Deep Space Nine was interesting but it took me a while to appreciate it. I was not a consistent watcher after the first season but I did come back towards the end. I plan to eventually watch the series from front to back to fill in the gaps and refresh my memory of the show. I tend to avoid re-runs until a series has been off the air for a long while; I guess it is getting about time to watch it again.
Voyager, well, I did not hate Voyager, I just did not love it either. I liked the cast and characters, the ship was okay, but GOOD original stories were very rare, especially after about season one. I am not sure if I missed more episodes of DS9 or Voyager but I did like DS9 better.
Well, actually, I did like the cast and characters and the first two seasons of Enterprise… but the last two seasons really aggravated me. I did watch them but it was with growing anger and disgust. And the ending, what a lame way to go out, I feel bad for the cast.
