“Mt. Shuksan” by Connie L. Stone - 1994
This is a painting given to me for the Christmas of 1994. It was given to me by the painter, Connie Lee Stone, who was my girlfriend at the time.
I may be a little biased but I feel this painting is one of Connie’s best works, at least up to that time.
Although rarely these days, Connie and I still talk with each other and consider each other good friends.
By the way, there is a real Mt. Shuksan here in Washington State; it is up near British Columbia Canada, just to the east of Mt Baker - which is a dormant volcano.
Connie and I had gone to visit Mt. Baker and Mt. Shuksan the summer of 1994 so this painting is a reminder of that day.
