This ep was excellent in our opinion. real action, real emotions, realism in fighting and attitudes. This was  a good satisfiying episode for us. Although we are tired of the flashback stuff. thats just getting too much.

I find flashback driven stories much harder to enjoy. I groaned when I realized that this would be another one.

Still, it was an interesting story overall... but, ya know, I would have enjoyed it more if they had shown the scenes in order and without repeating scenes. It was like, “dag blast it, you showed that same scene just before the last commercial break, I was ready to go forward, not get stuck in the same spot you left me hanging at last time.”

I always did hate cliffhangers and this episode gave me the same one twice.

Anyway, I have always preferred linear stories even if I am guilty of telling a few flashbacks (as a whole unit, not mixed together pieces) now and then.

Now we dont mind a few flashbacks now and again on some stories, but it seems they use them alot in this show so far.

However, while I did enjoy this episode (not quite as dark as usual) I kept thinking, 'I'm watching Momento'!)

I liked the use of the time line, at least you knew in what order to assemble the flashbacks.

I also like that we're seeing growth. This week's moral  of  "something to live for is as (if not more) important as something to die for" indicates a return of a "moral compass", something that was clearly lost in the crises of the Cylon attack.

We've discussed over the last few weeks the importance of "getting things done", and the price paid for reducing ourselves to the level of our enemies. Perhaps our Humans are seeing a return of their humanity. This is bound to make them easier to identify with and root for. Will it reignite the hatred of the cylons, seeing the difference between Human and Cylon? For that matter, what level of emotions do the Cylon's possess? Are they just fulfilling their programming?

My interest level is on the upswing
