Okay... I admit it.  I LOVE this character!  Oh sure, I'd love to slap him around sometimes, but overall he is TERRIFIC!

He had me in stitches on Friday night after he injected himself with the Wraith Juice.  Rodney is hyper and funny... Rodney on Wraith Juice was even hyperererer and even MORE hysterical.

"That is what happens when you back a brilliant scientist into a corner!"

Just a great scene and character overall!

Yeah, I have to agree, Rodney can get a bit much sometimes but, over all, he is fun to watch.

Sometimes I do feel that he robs the other cast members of quality time on the screen though. Everyone except Rodney is becoming more and more two-dimensional and I feel that is a shame.

There are several other cast members that also have great potential that are just not being properly developed so they can focus more time on McKay.

Personally, I feel this show is in real danger of going flat if they do not start rounding out the other characters more, and soon.

Still, it has been a pretty good season so far, even if more than a little Rodney-centric.

I've felt that way myself sometimes

He gets most of the good lines, but Ronon's understatements are as good as any of Teal'c's.

I enjoyed this week’s episode, "Epiphany." It was an interesting story and they did a good job of keeping most of the characters in the third dimension this time.

I did not like the Ronon character all that much at first but he is starting to fit in better now. He has been more likable in the last few episodes anyway.

well rodney is the quack of the bunch but we like him even though he has the omnipotent attitude of the entire universe. ( which reminds me of someone I am married too) but dont ever tell her that or I will get the big smackdown!

over all we love this new show

I think mr rodney just needs to get some... if you know what i mean. he just needs to relax

I really didn't like McKay when he was on Stargate...but he's my favorite character on Atlantis.  He gets all the great lines!  I love his sarcasm!  I can't get enough of him.

Although he's had the better lines and is a reason to tune in, last night's episode of  The Rodney McKay Show was too much Rodney.

"This is my fantasy, at least you could take your top off" could have taken an interesting twist if Sam had divided in two, illustrating the level of his dementia, or perhaps a playful response and naming of the sea monster, but that might have taken the intense focus off Rodney.

Another episode so exclusive of the remainder of the cast will probably turn me away.

well lots of rodney tonight! that was a funny ep regardless how anything else happened. I have noticed though that the show seem to revolve around him more than others. He is just the funny aspect

At one time I thought that's what was going to happen, that we would see two sides Sam.  Something needed to take some focus off of McKay.  This was an example of "I'm a genius and I want everyone to know!"

Perhaps I'm watching too many other shows that take the time to go into the history of each character, to give you a glimpse into their lives and an idea of how and why they are here now.  All we've seen of McKay before Atlantis is the annoying visits to SG-1 when he spouted the benefits of his genius.  The first year of Atlantis this character grew and began learning a little something about human nature.  Now we're back to the spouting genius.

It disturbed me when his shipmate was lost and all he could say was, "Why'd he do that?".  McKay is still lacking some very important traits.  Another person is willing to give up his life for him and he shrugs it off like he doesn't understand why he did it.  That makes me want to never be in a sinking ship with McKay.

I think this episode could have taken a different direction, and perhaps humbled McKay a little.
