I'm slowly moving into this century.  Today I ordered a digital camera.  I've been a photographer for years but had never thought of forsaking the 35mm.  I got a new cell phone last month and have been playing around with it taking pictures.  And I figured it's sometimes easier taking pictures for online use than getting film developed then transferring to Cd's, etc.  Plus I can carry it with me all the time.  What started this was wanting to get a picture of the foggy morning the other day.  It was one of those things you want to capture but of course I didn't have a camera with me.  So I snapped it with my phone.  Of course it's now stuck in my phone...

So now all I have to do is figure out how to use the camera and connect it to my PC and so forth.  Like I said, I'm slowly moving into this century....

I would love to get a good 35 mm camera but digital cameras are vastly more convenient for the online world of today. I think I will work towards getting a better digital camera, one with telephoto lenses, before getting a 35 mm.

I recently upgraded my cell to one with a digital camera and am running into the same problem Chevy, how to get the pictures off the phone and into my computer without having to sign up for another pay feature from the cell phone provider. Money grubbing…. Anyway, I think it is quite rude to make phones that can take pictures but the only way to get those pictures off the phone is to pay extra and be dependent on a service to handle or host your pictures! Not to mention the lack of security and control over your own creative property.

If you can’t tell, I am still annoyed about this! Look for a review soon.

All I've ever had is 35mm.  This digital thing is a new concept for me.  The premise is the same but the convenience and availability is better.  I figure I'll use the phone camera to display pics to people in person, the 35mm for the photo album and the digital for online use.  That gives me access to all worlds.

I love the humming bird picture and the storm one Chevy. Awesome.... wonder what it's like living up that high and being in the clouds?

I have always wanted a camera phone for that reason. I often grab my camera on the way out though with any hunch that I might come across something interesting while out. But a camera phone would be much better as more often than not, it's when I don't have a camera that I see something I want a picture of.

Love foggy mornings and the way the land looks. Hate driving in it though.

I have lots of 35 mm and never thought I would completely stop using them... but I have not used one for about a year now. Ugh... but that sadly also means I have no hard copies of pictures. Yeah I am saving storage space but there is something to be said for a picture in the hand and a book to open and share with others.

My digital camera has arrived!   Now I just have to get through 600 pages of instructions, a DVD, CD, a second set of instructions for joining to the PC and find a magnifying glass to read the settings on the camera.  Piece of cake.   So far I've gotten the batteries installed in the camera.
