I have to say that "Numb3rs" has been my favorite show for a few seasons now.

They had their season premier last night as well AND exactly the same time as Atlantis.  I chose to watch Numb3rs knowing that I could always catch Atlantis on the repeat later.

WOW was THIS a terrific season opener!  It blew Atlantis out of the water.

Basically, it is about an FBI agent and his mathemetician brother.  It is perfect "geek" TV.  Don is the FBI agent and his brother Charlie is a wizard at math.  He helps to solve the case by using math formulas and probability.  The father, played by Judd Hirsch also gets involved and there is a nice "family feel" to the show.

Peter MacNichol is also in it as one of Charlie's professor friends, Larry.  Let me just say that Larry makes the show for me... it is just such a GREAT character that he plays.  You have to see it to appreciate it.

"Everything is about numbers"

This really is a wonderful show.  If you aren't already hooked on it I hope that you find time to give it a chance.

I was SO happy that Granger wasn't a spy.  I was really upset about that the end of last season.  It was good to see that there was a "plan" around the whole thing.

It was also great to have Larry back.... even though he is trying to live in a Monestary.  They just won't leave him alone, will they?  Whatever did they do without him while he was in space?

Did you notice that all the main mathmaticians (alright, just the two of them) were sportin' beards???

Yeah, I thought Charlie was looking a little rough around the edges.  It looks like he had a little TOO much fun over summer break.

I figured that the monks just didn't provide Larry with a razor at the monestary

After all my rave reviews about this show, I have to say that I HATED Friday night's episode!

This show is usually more cerebral and thought provoking rather than gory.  Friday was just plain GORY.  There was WAY too much torture and ickiness.

Mozart's "Requiem" has ALWAYS been one of my favorite pieces of music.  In a strange coincidence it is the piece that my choir is doing this year. I usually love to sing this piece but now I am just hoping that I can get those sick images out of my head so that I can, once again enjoy this music.

I hope they don't do any more episodes like this EVER.
