Ah, but Chevy, this is not for the individual person who throws in a load of clothes to dry as they go on a quick shopping trip. Most of us would rather be there to fold the laundry before it wrinkles, or if it is in the washer, be able to put the load into the dryer, so this technology makes no sense at all… unless.
This e-mail feature only makes sense if it is used to track others. You know, like the wife, husband, or kids at home that were ordered to do the laundry and the overbearing controller type just has to know that they are doing what they were told to do.
It is all part if this new age of tracking everyone, everywhere, all the time.
People can load software on your computer to track your every move online, there are cell phones designed to track every call, and cars to tattle on the driver every time they speed, and there are more and more traffic light cameras… and cameras everywhere for that matter.
Where will the privacy stop evaporating? From the looks of it, not until there is no privacy left at all.
