Thanks for showing us your new works Mystic.

They remind me of a Tiger drawing I did once. I can't really call that tiger an original work though. I did do it freehand but I based it on someone else's work... but it does have my touches to it.

Some of my best work, in pencil, is when I use a picture or model as a guide. Some of my imaginary stuff turns out okay, but for realism, I do best when I am looking at my subject matter so I can capture it in more detail.

For example, this is not pencil, and was done entirely working with a mouse and a paint program, but I used a real carnation as a model for this image.

Pink Carnation

Yeah, it still needs more work... but the model has long since shriveled up and dried out. Still, it is far more detailed than any of my imaginary flowers.

I do much better work on the computer than I do with a pencil anyway; I have far more control, and tools to work with, in a paint program.

I will try to get some of my better pencil works scanned sometime soon.

In the mean time, keep working with your pencils Mystic.

Usually I use wildlife photos as a guide from various places to try drawing the animals in them.  But I find that the pictures I have the most trouble drawing are people pictures.  I just cant get them to look realistic on most of them.

Nice job Mystic. I especially like the big cat, I've always liked

lions, cougars, leopards, tigers, any kind of cats, big or small.

I can draw the outline of the head like that but the inside

details of the eyes, nose, mouth, tongue, etc. never

come out right. I just can't do it right.

Thanks   I find that if I start drawing the eyes first, then the rest of the face works out fitting in.  Then I add the outside bits afterwards.  I drew a picture of an andromeda character the other day that Im going to post, but I have to get it onto the computer first.
