I HATED it!

Iamstill hoping that the flash forward don't HAVE to be the REAl reality that will happen at the end of the series.  We have already seen two different versions of Jack.... one where he looked like a drunken psycho yelling "We have to go back"  and others where he looks like he has it all together and is back to being a successful doctor.  I think there is still hope of alternate futures being shown.

......maybe????

Jack's flash forward threw me a little too. More than once he mentions his father in the present tense. My impression is that he's still lost, still pursuing the father he despises.

He wants to go back. Back to when he was in control. Back to when he was cozy with Kate. Back to the island.

Besides, the delivery of that line was wide open to spoof. It's become as memorable as the ending of Planet of the Apes. I get to use it at least once a week

The Oceanic Six. I had forgotten about Claire's baby.

Unfortunately, in addition to flash backs and forwards, we also have "soap opera time". You know, when people travel from point to point in an instant, and issues develop off screen at an unusual pace.

Spoiler below, highlight to read

  • Michael gets back to NYC, has an apartment, and has difficulties with Walt to the point that Walt now lives with Michael's mother. Then he's visited by one of the "others" who we know is dead. This places the time for that visit at about three weeks or less from the time he left the island.

Next new episode is 24 April, maybe we'll find out who was shooting at Alex and Danielle.

I am SO confused.... so even OFF the island the island still "saves" you?  I wish someone would mention this to Locke.  Maybe he wouldn't be so hellbent on making every stay there just so he can walk.

I REALLY REALLY hope Danielle isn't dead.  AND that poor boy.  He has been tortured, drugged, shot, and what else is his short life on the island.  I hope that we see him again.

I feel like I am getting "loster" by the week.

...And I REALLY hope that Jin is alive.... but I think that I've mentioned that before

Those weren't darts, unless they were set to pierce rhinoceros hide. I'm pretty sure Danielle and Alex's boyfriend are history. But then , anything can happen on the island.

I do have to believe that Jin is dead. His gravestone indicated that he died in the crash, and even though that's the official story for everyone who remained on the island, I can't imagine him voluntarily staying behind.
But then , anything can happen on the island.

Maybe that sounds lame, but what I like about this show is that while anything can happen, it is not arbitrary, and it does make sense once you know the path.

I'm not sure Locke would want to leave, just because you can't die doesn't mean you can walk. There's something else that's possibly more important to Locke on the island. Respect. He's a leader on the island, and a nobody back home.

So... the season finale is next...

I'm hoping something will happen to keep me in suspense because, honestly, I'm starting to lose interest.

I REALLY didn't like the "homecoming/press conference" bit... There is obviously something that they are all covering up and lying about.  But why?
Why did they have to say that Aaron was Kate's?  Why couldn't they just tell the truth on THAT one and let them know that the baby's mother didn't survive?  And what about the "Big Prophesy" from way back in the beginning that terrible things would happen if Claire didn't raise the baby herself?

I'm sooooooo confused

We've known most of the season that the story told to the public about the Oceanic six would differ from reality. The entire season we've been wondering.

First, who are the Oceanic six? That was revealed slowly.

Second, what about those that are not among the Oceanic six? We've had clues, we know that Ben makes it off independently, but here we are down to the last half of a two part finale with no idea what will become of Locke, Sawyer, Jin (probably dies on the freighter), Claire (walking in the jungle with
Jack's/her dad), Rose, Bernard, or the rest of our group.

Third, why? I hope that at least this question is answered in the finale. Why these six, why not others, who had a choice and who didn't?

There also remains the question that pursues any SciFi programming. Will they finish the story, or just leave us hanging?

I just REALLYhope that this doesn't turn into a "death a week" show untill we get down to six.  I don't think I could make it through that.

I'm guessing it won't - or else, since we know who survives, there would be no point in watching.  There HAS to be more to the story.... I'm just not sure at this point I'm willing to wait and see what it is.  I used to LOVE this show... I wouldn't miss it for anything and even taped it when I was home so that I could replay different parts.  Anymore, if I miss it, I miss it.

I'm not sure what I want to happen at this point, I'm just getting tired of waiting.

I kind of felt that way through most of season 3. For me, season 4 picked up again, with interest. I am usually not all that fond of stories told in a non-linear fashion, but this show does it well enough that I can accept it. So far I am mostly able to keep up with what is going on and put the pieces in the right order as they come.

I think I had the advantage by seeing the show on DVDs within a much shorter span of time though. I didn't have time to forget as much between episodes and there were no season breaks for me. I think DVDs are the best way to watch a series if you can do it that way.

Bummer that I just canceled my Blockbuster account. I have been funneling too much of my resources into models, and model making supplies, so I have to cut back on my entertainment budget for a while. Oh well. At least the new season of Lost starts next week on regular TV. Too bad I have to watch it one episode at a time and put up with TV scheduling.

Personally, I think Hurley is the brightest of the bunch.

Sure, maybe he is not an intellectual egghead, and maybe he is a little bit nuts, but he seems to have a far better grasp of common sense than all the rest of the cast of characters do.

I think that is why Hurley is my favorite Lost character.
