I discovered today that Comcast On Demand is showing the pilot episodes for the fall lineup.

I checked out Journeyman and Bionic Woman so far.

About Journeyman, it started a bit stiff… stiff in that I had not warmed up to the characters yet and it seem that the cast was not familiar with each other all that well either, but as the show progressed I was able to find my willingness to suspend disbelief and enjoy the show.

Journeyman seems to be a Quantum Leap type story except that the time traveler gets to go home after each mission... or after each segment of a mission.

They do not explain how or why the leading character is traveling back in time but perhaps the details for this will be made known as the series progresses.

I think I will give this series a chance and see where they take it.

For anyone else that might be interested in catching the show, the premier episode will show on NBC at 10/9c on Monday, September 24th.

As I suspected, the second episode was better than the first one was.

This show may very well have some lasting power. I hope it is given that chance.

This show is starting to get impressively good. I hear that the ratings are not that good and the show may not last. I hope that is a false rumor though because Journeyman is definitely showing its potential now.

I got a kick out of an "Oh boy" comment made not by the main time traveling character, but a guest actor. It was clearly homage to Quantum Leap.

This show is more serious than Quantum Leap was but there are similarities. The ongoing question of how and why the leading character, Dan, is traveling through time is still in question but there are hints that at least some answers will come soon.

So, do me a favor, watch this show and tell all your friends to watch it too. Let’s get those ratings up so I can see where they are taking this show.

I've been watching and I've gotten several other people to try it.  And if each of those people get someone else to try it and then those people get someone else....... well you get the idea.

So far, I have to say that Journeyman has been the most consistently good show on this fall season… of the shows I watch.

Journeyman just keeps getting better and better while the other shows are good one episode and only so so the next. Give or take a streak of so so and good episodes here and there.

Chuck is still hanging in there too... to my surprise. I am still watching it.

Hey, I found some fans of this show! I don't know anyone else other than yous guys who like it. You're right Mac, that first episode was very rough hewn, and a lot of people I've talked to judged it on that opening episode and never went back too it.

And you are right again in that each episode has gotten better and better. The characters have developed very nicely and the overall flow of the show has improved.

I'm going to stick with this one, I like it.

Ooops, I almost missed that last episode of Journeyman... since it was on Wednesday, rather than next Monday, as expected. NBC has been goofing up the schedule quite a bit lately making it hard to follow anything consistently.

It is a good thing I checked to see what was on NBC earlier today. I was looking to see if there was a fresh episode of Bionic Woman on, but there wasn't, and rather than a repeat of Life, as I was hoping for since I missed the early episodes, I noticed a surprise episode of Journeyman instead. It was a pleasant surprise… but I would have been mad if I had found out later that I missed it because I didn’t even know it was showing on the wrong day.

This surprise episode of Journeyman was a very good one. If you missed it, check out the NBC Journeyman website and see if you can download Wednesday’s episode, “Perfidia” (if you can get the blasted NBC website to work properly – so far, I have never managed to get an episode to download for me and the website is confusing… at best). If you can get it, if you missed it, it was definitely worth the watch though.

Actually, I heard NBC will NOT be continuing Bionic Woman after the strike is over. There are a few shows that won't make the cut and the studios are using this strike as an excuse (as if they ever needed on before!).

Oh well. This version of the Bionic Woman is no big loss so I will shed no tears at its passing.

I do hope that they continue Journeyman though. It has been a very good show so far, and vastly better than Bionic Woman was.
