Thanks Mac!
The scans they took earlier came back clean. I KNEW it! So all we have to deal with is the breast area. I will have to go through 8 sessions of chemo covering a span of 16 weeks. After that I will have to go under the knife. The prognosis is good. The bad thing will be that I'm going to lose my hair but it is a small price to pay.

That is GREAT news QM! Well, you know what I mean, great that it isn't elsewhere at least. Anyway, keep up your spirits!

BTW, Sinead O'Conner looked good bald! And Sigurney Weaver, etc.

I knew what you meant. They said that breast cancer likes to hide in the bones and the liver but it didn't in my case.

And thanks for the smile. Although I don't think I have the right bone structure to carry off the bald look.

I'm very glad to hear that Quest.  Keep up the positive attitude on your end and we will keep up the prayers on our side.

Hugs dear

LOL I didn't think of that. If I had some blue body paint and some flowing robes I could dress as Zhaan from Farscape.

QM, I found this site about cancer treatments. While I found it researching for lung cancer, it looks like it could also be used for your type of cancer. Anyway, just have a read, perhaps is is not what you want, perhaps it it.

Thanks Walt. I'm a big believer in Chinese herbs. Still, at $170 a bottle it's a little steep for me. Maybe if I could guarantee that I'd be working the whole time I'm on chemo but I can't.

Think of it as an HMO!!! But seriously, I could have sworn I saw that same stuff but much cheaper! Perhaps check around? And also, IF you got some from China, check the lead content first!!!

I went to see the Oncol this morning. All my tests look good and he's scheduled me for my first treatment on the 18th. I have to see the surgeon later today to talk about putting the port in and scheduling that. Hopefully she can get that done before the 18th so that my treatment won't have to be moved.

I get the port put in tomorrow. I have to go through the usual surgical routine, no food or drink after midnight (and I get off work at 11:30). I have to be there at 9am but the surgery itself is scheduled for 11.

Are you having an iPod port installed? Personally, I think a USB port would be more useful.

Oh, wait, I think I misunderstood. Hang in there Quest. I hope all goes well and you have a speedy recovery.

We can tell where your interests lay Mac. I keep telling people that it's not a data port like Andromeda's Harper.
I'll post again as soon as I can.
