I watched the CNN YouTube democratic debate yesterday and I have decided that I liked John Edwards’s answers best. I feel that Barack Obama did very well as well though. Those who think that Hillary Clinton gave the best answers… well, I think they are misguided. I have no problem with a woman becoming president… but please let it be some other woman some other time. To me, Hillary Clinton is too much current establishment and pretty much represents all that is wrong with America today. I feel that America would have a better chance for real change, and the potential for real improvements, if either Edwards or Obama became President.

I saw a tad bit of the debate and I have to agree. Maybe Hillary is trying too hard but there is something that bothers me about the way she presents herself.

The more I watch the debates from EITHER side, the less I feel encouraged to vote! Clinton, as you say, MACJR, would be more of the same. Obama, unfortunately would be a naive trainwreck which would be worse than more of the same, unfortunately because he would ensure Democrats would NEVER get a second chance at the presidency (well, at least for another two terms). However, Edwards would be even WORSE than BOTH of them together, and Gore? Well, as soon as he throws his hat into the ring, he would also be a bad pres.

For the Repulicans, however, I don't see ANY candidate worthy of being mentioned! It is sad that possible the best candidate hasn't even decided to run yet, and is a better actor than he would be a president! But, from the Repulican side, I would be more likely to vote for Fred Thompson if he decided to run, but again, I don't know that I will even vote next year, the people are soo bad (inclusive of those not running yet).

I disagree about your view of Edwards. No, he is not ideal Presidential material in my view either… but I feel, other than Joe Biden, John Edwards is the best democratic option available for our next President.

Personality wise, I like Joe Biden best but his chances of winning the democratic nomination are even worse than John Edwards’s chances are.

What I like most about Edwards is that he is campaigning for the working person and clamping down on big business... which is obviously way out of control and needs to be reigned in! This issue alone is Edwards’s strongest point in his favor for me.

I like Barack Obama but, yeah, I have to admit that he may not be ready for the Presidency just yet.

As for Hillary Clinton... oh boy, her nomination would be the strongest reason ever to consider an independent... or, gasp, even a morally uptight republican candidate.

As for the republicans, the ones I dislike the least are John McCain, Ron Paul, and Mike Huckabee.

I more or less like Huckabee as a personality but I definitely am not interested in him being our next President.

Ron Paul may be a nut but I find his ideas less repugnant than those of most republicans.

John McCain, I actually like this guy, but I wish he were not so conservative. As for his supporting the war in Iraq… well, I think it was wrong that Bush went into Iraq and made a thorough mess of the place, but maybe it would be just as wrong to leave Iraq while it is still in that mess Bush made of it. I think pulling out now, that Bush has made it a disaster area, may be as morally wrong as going into Iraq was in the first place. Yes, I do think the U.S. needs to get out of Iraq, and let the place pick its own government, but we should at least try to stabilize the place before we leave. John McCain may be the only one who might do this right.

The republicans I like least are Mitt Romney, Rudy Giuliani, and Fred Thompson.

If Romney became the next President… I may have to join in the next American Revolution in an attempt to throw that rich SOB out of power as soon as possible! I have had more than I can stomach of Big Business lackeys!
