I was slightly bored last night and started flipping randomly through channels and realized that there really aren't too many funny comedies on anymore.  At least in my opinion.

I know that "humor" is very personal thing... I know I laugh at some of the most stupid things sometimes but I do miss some of the old shows.

So what are YOUR 10 all time favorite shows.... old or new.  What would make YOUR list for the funniest shows of all time?

...and yeah, I have to give it some thought myself, so I will be back

Cheers, In Living Color (it was a variety show, kinda like Saturday Night Live, but uhhh, Black?), Fresh Prince of Bel Air, The A-Team (come on, it was FUNNY all the bullets flying and nobody got hurt!!!), NewRadio, Becker, Whoopie (how can one NOT like an ANTI-PC sitcom?), Frasier (but ONLY if my wife was watching! Same with -), Friends, Joey (should have lasted longer, but the magic was gone after two or three episodes, too bad, it was FINALLY getting better when they cancelled it), Married with Children, The Simpsons (do cartoons count?), Sanford & Son, and I will stop there as apparently I cannot COUNT!!!!

Okay....  In no particular order...

1. WKRP
2. Night Court
3. Andy Griffith Show
4. MASH
5. Soap
6. Golden Girls
7. Red Green Show
8. Dick Van Dyke Show
9. Cosby
10. Happy Days

Honorable Mention:  Mary Tyler Moore Show, Keeping Up Appearences

I'm sure that I will think of others later... but for now, that is my list

In alphabetical order, these are some of my all time favorites:

All in the Family

The Beverly Hillbillies

The Dick Van Dyke Show

Gilligan’s Island – okay, it was much funnier when I was a kid.

I Dream of Jeanie – same here.

MASH

Mork & Mindy – the first season – it was only so-so after.

The Musters

Sanford and Son

WKRP

Honorable Mentions:

The Addams Family

Bewitched

Good Times

Happy Days

I Love Lucy

Laverne & Shirley

Leave it to Beaver

Mayberry RFD/The Andy Griffith Show

My Three Sons

Three’s Company

And even Mary Tyler Moore… although this show was more to my mother’s interest than mine, it was a good show.

I know there were more, and some of the ones I am forgetting now might bump off the list some of the ones I remembered, but I did enjoy all of these shows at one time or another.

Variety Shows:

Carol Burnett – tops the list as the best.

Red Skelton – back in my early days and during his later days.

There were others but I would be too embarrassed to mention some of them.

Anybody remember "Greatest American Hero" with Robert Culp and William Katt?  Now you've probably got that tune stuck in your head.
